Other Pastoral Services

In the course of the year, The Church of the Holy Nativity celebrates calendar holidays or unique occasions by gathering our parish together to recognize these special days in prayer! Below is a list of those we have consistently celebrated in the course of the year. We also have special individual or family pastoral services for the birth of new child (or more!), the unity of two people in marriage and the loss of a loved one. Our yearly services:

March 8, at 6:00 pm in the Asher-Stoddard Hall is our Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper.  Donations are welcome to help defray the costs of batter and syrup.

March 9, is Ash Wednesday.  Services will be at 12:15 and 7:30 pm.  There will be no 9:30 Morning Prayer during Lent.

There are three sets of Lenten programs:

Thursday Evenings with light supper and program. All programs begin with a light dinner at 6:30 accompanied by a meditation.  The theme for this year’s Lenten Program is “Finding Christ in our Ministry”.  March 17 – April 14.

Wednesdays: 12:15 Communion with discussion over shared lunches following. Beginning March 16 – April 13.  A light lunch will follow. 

Sundays 11:45 a.m. Beginning Sunday March 13 after Coffee Hour, the Bible Study will be based on the theme “The Hard Sayings of Jesus”.  These studies will continue through April 10.
