Communicators

The communicators are a volunteer church group who have the task of communicating church information and events to the parish and local community. The hope is for the local community to embrace The Church of the Holy Nativity and mix with our parishioners, get to know our church family and even, help us grow! We welcome all to join us at the many events planned----and you are welcome to be a part, join our group to help prepare for each event!

Events are well planned in advance to coordinate listings in area newspapers, announce them in the weekly church service bulletin, coordinate support for each event, print material or develop signage appropriate for each event. Our Misson: To spread the good news of the Church of the Holy Nativity!

Each week we publish our parish information, events and group meetings on our website, our church newsletter Holy Happenings that is mailed direct to our parishioners home every other month and our digital Holy Happenings which is sent by email as an attachment in PDF form. If you are not receiving this information---and would like to--please email or call the church office!!

Communicator Goals for 2010---

* Church wood signage with glass doors in front of church to display our weekly activities

* Update our church website with updated pictures---they have been the same for too long!!---

* Adjust our website Calendar--- to open to a full page on the website for each month

* Nurture the relationship with the diocese for more market exposure for the positive and embracing community support activities we do!

* 2-3 week prior announcement in local media of our church activities for better response and impact

* Audio clip of Fr. Harry sermon on the website each week---maybe even video!

* Cable TV announcements of calendar events, services and possible video of sunday 10am service

* Pledges / transaction capability on website ----we can try! Or for annual giving.

* OPEN HOUSES--each Monday of the month---to be sponsored by a parish group
