Capital Fund Raising Campaign – 2009

During 2009, it became necessary for the Church of the Holy Nativity to replace the antique oil heating system. This was an expense we were not quite prepared for but we had the good fortune to receive “lead gifts” of about $35,000 towards the project. The donors asked that their amount be matched by contributions from members of the parish and the Vestry authorized a Capital Campaign to raise money for the heating system and other church projects.

An appeal was mailed to parishioners and friends of the Church to consider a gift or pledge over time to help meet this challenge. Including the lead gifts, we received commitments from 29 individuals and families in the amount of $61,000. The generosity of the parish enabled the vestry to proceed with the following necessary improvements:
